Yelloly to race with MOMO Megatron
Following the Hungaroring round, MOMO Megatron Team Partrax heads to the Spa-Francorchamps circuit this weekend, 25th-27th August. The team from Luxembourg and America will be in action in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup, with British drivers Paul Rees and Nick Yelloly, as well as Norway’s Egidio Perfetti.
“We are pleased to be able to give a seat to Nick Yelloly this weekend, who is currently second in the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland. Nick is a very talented driver and can add to his wealth of experience with us in the Supercup”, said team principal Andreas Leberle, “Last year, we finished eleventh in Spa. We are looking to build on that this time.”
The team achieved a top-ten finish last time out at the Hungaroring with Nico Rindlisbacher. The rookie driver started from 15th and produced a remarkable fightback to come home tenth. Unfortunately, Rindlisbacher is not available for the race weekend in Spa. Perfetti, who competes in the B class, in Hungary fought his way through from 23rd on the grid to finish an impressive 13th overall out of 30 starters. This once again earned him the accolade of top amateur driver.
Following a run of eye-catching results in recent races, the team is looking to up its game again at the final three events in Spa, Monza and Mexico City. They currently lie ninth in the Team championship. “We are definitely capable of finishing higher up the points, and will again be doing our best to do so”, promised Leberle. Two races will be held in Spa: race one gets underway at 18:35 local time on Saturday, while Sunday’s race begins at 11:25.
