Yelloly on pole at Hockenheim
Fach Auto Tech driver Nick Yelloly claimed his second pole position of the season at Hockenheim, in the fifth round of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup. The 27-year-old Briton set the best time of 1:43.379, 0.253 seconds faster than Mikkel O. Pedersen (MRS GT-Racing).
Italian Mattia Drudi will start from the third position of the grid for Dinamic Motorsport team. In the PRO-AM class Norwegian Roar Lindland (Lechner Racing Middle East) emerged as the best driver. Swedish Gustav Malja was the best of the Rookies.
“It couldn’t have gone better for me“, said Yelloly, “I anticipated that the track would be better after the rain towards the end of the session. I managed to get a free run during my last lap and the strategy paid off.”
The current leader of the championship Michael Ammermüller (BWT Lechner Racing). finished fifth.
