Wilson seventh at Silverstone
Relishing the start of the new season in the TCR UK Championship at Silverstone, British driver Darelle Wilson had his sights set on mounting a podium challenge at the very least, but only getting the car a few days before race one was all put to the very last minute. With the team having made so much effort, Wilson managed to finish 7th in race two due to tyres not lasting and not having the right set up.
“Race one was hopefully going to give us the answers we wanted with the car performing really well and had really great grip on the corners“, commented Wilson, “At the start of the first race again our inexperience with the car caught us out as we had selected the wrong launch mode and dropped to 10th by the first corner. By lap 6 we where up to 7th when a slight brush with another car sent us into the gravel and then it was retirement.”
