Vivien Keszthelyi joins Motopark
Vivien Keszthelyi joins the Euroformula Open grid for the 2021 season with Team Motopark,. The Hungarian female racer started her career in Touring Cars tasting success in Suzuki Swifts across Europe before switching to sportscars and earning an even greater haul of trophies in an Audi TT. Her first taste of single-seater racing came in 2019 when she drove in the Asian Formula 3 Winter Series, and in that same year she contested the all-female W Series and was a points scorer.
“The best way is to talk on the track. It’s a performance-based industry, and I hope what they’ve seen so far has solidified their opinion of me“, Keszthelyi said. “This is another huge step in my career, but the real hard work starts now.”
The 20-year-old will be the first Hungarian to race in the Euroformula Open Championship, and follows in the footsteps of Super Formula racer Tatiana Calderón, former Formula E driver and WTCC team manager Michela Cerruti, F1 testers Carmen Jordá and María de Villota, Le Mans 24 Hours finisher Natacha Gachnang and W Series Vicky Piria (among other) as women drivers in the series since its inception as Spanish Formula 3 in 2001.
