Valint rejoins VAR for 2021
Bence Válint extends his agreement with Van Amersfoort Racing for a second season. The 16-year-old Hungarian racer is set to enter a full campaign in the Italian F4 Championship. After a learning season in 2020, when he clinched a best sixth position at Monza, Válint will expand his experience adding selected rounds of the ADAC F4 Championship.
“I’m really happy to be racing with Van Amersfoort Racing again”, Válint said. “We’ve bonded strongly and it’s great to attack the new season together with them. It’s honestly difficult to put in words how exciting last year was. With every outing, whether it was for practice, qualifying or race sessions, I learned more each and every time. For the upcoming season, my goal is to keep learning for sure, but I have set my eyes on moving closer to the front of the field and gathering championship points, more than I did last year! I feel confident and I can’t wait for the season to officially get started. Especially with Paul Ricard on the calendar, which is a new track for me, I spent lots of hours in the simulator. Now it’s time to get my race suit on again though.”
CEO at Van Amersfoort Racing Rob Niessink added. “We have said it before; it is always great to be able to continue with a driver into a new race season. Bence has spent a lot of time with the team last year and we have gotten to know each other very well. Especially during the learning-process in which he is currently in, it will be very beneficial for him to be in a trusted and familiar environment. Last year Bence went through a massive learning curve and the team is excited to support him in reaching his next goals.”
