Tutumlu optimistic for Nurburgring

Isaac Tutumlu heads to Germany to contest round five of the ADAC GT Masters to be held at Nürburgring. Car Collection Motorsport driver, sharing the Audi R8 LMS with South African Kelvin van der Linder, is feeling quietly optimistic ahead of the event taking place in the Eiffel Mountains. For the very first time this season, Nürburgring isn´t a new race track for Tutumlu unlike Oschersleben, Sachsenring, Lusitzring and Red Bull Ring. Nürburgring has been traditionally a good track for Tutumlu and he expects a competitive weekend.

I was looking forward to competing at the Nürburgring because I won’t start from scratch this time. It is a shorter layout than usual but only a corner changes. Considering my experience at Nürburgring competing in series such as the International GT Open and the Lamborghini Super Trofeo, we look forward to a promising weekend – Tutumlu explains.

The only Spanish driver in the series adds – let’s hope for a better BoP. Our Audi wasn´t at its best at the Red Bull Ring as it involved top speed and torque but the series’ BoP wasn´t helpful at all either. Either Car Collection Motorsport or the drivers are working together in the same direction, so I´m sure we will make a qualitative leap pretty soon. Besides, Dennis Busch joins Christopher Haase in the second Car Collection-entered Audi. Dennis is a Nürburgring specialist, so he will help us to make even quicker progress with set-up.
