Tarquini-Monteiro on the Nordschleife
Honda factory drivers Gabriele Tarquini and Tiago Monteiro are the first WTCC drivers to try the Nürburgring Norsdchleife in view of next year’s event. The 25.4-kilometre combination between the Norsdchleife road course and the Grand Prix racetrack will host a WTCC round for the first time in 2015.
The Italian-Portuguese duo is currently competing in the 6H ADAC Ruhr-Pokal-Rennen, seventh round of the VLN Langstrecken Meisterschaft Nürburgring, at the wheel of a Honda Civic Type-R that has been specifically built and prepared by JAS Motorsport in compliance with the technical specifications of the VLN Specials 3 class. The Japanese car is powered by a 2-litre VTEC normally aspirated engine adapted for endurance racing.
