Target Racing to enter 24H Spa
Target Racing is set for the new thrilling challenge of the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, held on the seven-kilometer historic Belgian circuit, during the 70th edition of the race scheduled for the last weekend of this month, 28th/29th July. The team led by Roberto Venieri will field a car for a brand-new crew, aiming to the AM class top spot.
Three gentlemen drivers will share the duties at the wheel of a Lamborghini Huracán GT3 car entered by the Italian team. One of them is the local racer Bernard Delhez, who has several Blancpain GT Series Endurance participations under his belt and already entered six times the Ardennes’ race, including the last year editon when he finished 28th over 63 entries with a Lamborghini car. Delhez career extends to European Le Mans Series, Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe and Mégane Trophy Championship.
To join him will be Frenchman Sylvain Debs, a former motocross rider who switched from two to four wheels, who has an important experience in single-seaters, GT4 series and Blancpain GT as well as a 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps participation in 2016.
Italians Stefano Costantini and Alberto Di Folco – regular Target Racing drivers in the International GT Open Championship – complete the four-man team. Costantini, who has several years of experience in various GT championships, already raced the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps in 2016, whilst the only Silver driver Di Folco will make his debut in the Belgian Marathon. The 22-year-old Rome-based racer, claimed the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe PRO-AM crown in 2014.
