Sowery to make debut with Lazarus
Daiko Lazarus Racing announced the second drivers’ couple for the International GT Open Championship. One of the two Lamborghini Huracán GT3 cars fielded by the team led by Tancredi Pagiaro, will be shared by the English racing driver Toby Sowery and Italian Giuseppe Cipriani.
Cipriani has an impressive experience in single seater, whilst the 21-year-old Sowery already raced with Team Lazarus in 2017, when he took part in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia claiming an overall victory at Shanghai and a second position in the PRO final classification.
The English-Italian couple will join the other duo, Fabrizio Crestani and Miguel Ramos, who are starting for Daiko Lazarus Racing with another supercar from Sant’Agata Bolognese. Cipriani will have a double-commitment, as he will race in the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup alongside Crestani and Ramos.
