Shvartzman takes pole at Nurburg
Prema Theodore Racing’s Robert Shvartzman claimed his second pole position of the FIA Formula 3 European Championship at the Nürburgring sprint circuit. The 18-year-old Russian driver set the quickest lap in 1:20.637, ahead of his team mate Mick Schumacher (pictured) by 0.047 seconds.
Current points’ leader Daniel Ticktum (Motopark) follows in third place, in front of Hitech Bullfrog GP’s Enaam Ahmed.
“My team has done a great job for qualifying, because my car handled really well“, said Shvartzman, “I didn’t think we would be that fast and I am even happier because of this. In the past races, we were having some issues and we made mistakes as well, but now, I hope that we can keep on going like this until the end of the year.”
