Russell set the quickest time in practice 1
The third out of seven rounds of the Formula Renault 2.0 ALPS kicked off today at the Austrian Red Bull Ring track with practice 1. Briton George Russell set the fastest time of 1:30.427 for Koiranen GP. Alessio Rovera – who’s aiming to a positive result after a disappointing weekend at Pau – paid almost one tenth from the lead. Behind the Cram Motorsport driver finished Ignazio D’Agosto, who makes his debut in the series as a wild card. Championship leader Nyck de Vries finished fourth, followed by JD Motorsport’s Matevos Isaakyan.
Hugo De Sadeleer, after having scored his first podium in France, set the sixt time ahead of Dario Capitanio (BVM Racing) and Denis Korneev (Jenzer Motorsport). Charles Leclerc (Fortec Motorsports) and Luke Chudleigh (Tech 1 Racing) rounded out the top ten.
