Racing Engineering win the first race
The Racing Engineering’s Oreca-Gibson took the first win of the 2018 European Le Mans Series season when Olivier Pla took the chequered flag to claim a debut win for the Spanish team together with other Frenchmen Norman Nato and Paul Petit. Less than 8 seconds covered the top three cars at the end of the four hour race at Paul Ricard. The LMP2 podium featured nine French drivers all driving Oreca 07s with one Spanish and two French teams at the end of the 4 Hours of Le Castellet
Victory in LMP3 went to the RLR MSport’s Ligier, with Rob Garofall taking his first LMP3 win since Imola 2015, Job van Uitert and John Farano.
The LMGTE win went to the JMW Motorsport’s Ferrari 488 with Miguel Molina taking victory on the very last lap from Matteo Cairoli in the Proton Competition’s Porsche.
The next round of the 2018 European Le Mans Series is the 4 Hours of Monza on May 13th.
