Porsche wins dramatic 12H Red Bull Ring

The Herberth Motorsport Porsche 991 GT3 R of Daniel Allemann, Alfred and Robert Renauer has stormed to victory in the inaugural Hankook 12H Red Bull Ring, third round of the 24H Series powered by Hankook. The German car completed 415 laps of the the 4.318 kilometre circuit, holding off the GRT Grasser Racing Team Lamborghini Huracán GT3 of Milos Pavlovic, Christoph LenzMark Ineichen and Roberto Pampanini, who finished second overall and claimed the AM class victory at their home track. Third place went to GP Extreme Renault RS01 FGT3 of Frederic Fatien, Jordan Grogor and Bassam Kronfli.

The Hofor-Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 of Michael and Chantal Kroll, Roland Eggimann, Kenneth Heyer and Christiaan Frankenhout clinched the fourth spot ahead of Forch Racing powered by Olimp Porsche 991 GT3 R (Robert Lukas, Zeljko Drmic, Patrick Eisemann) and Car Collection Motorsport Audi R8 LMS (Johannes Kirchhoff, Gustav Edelhoff, Elmar Grimm, Ingo Vogler)

The other GRT Grasser Racing Team Lamborghini Huracán GT3 of Christian Engelhart, Mark and Rolf Ineichen that had led after the first part of the race, suffered an engine problem, while the Scuderia Praha Ferrari 488 GT3 shared by polesitter Matteo Malucelli, Jiri Pisarik and Josef Král crashed into the barriers at Remus corner.
