Pietro Fittipaldi to make ALPS debut
Pietro Fittipaldi will make his Formula Renault 2.0 ALPS debut next weekend at the Spa-Francorchamps track. The 17-year-old grandson of legendary Emerson Fittipaldi – F1 World Champion in 1972 and ’74 with Lotus and McLaren respectively and twice Indy 500 winner, will be at the wheel of a MGR Motorsport car. Born in Miami on the 25th May 1996, Pietro has some experience in the British F.Renault BARC and F4.
The Mark Godwin‘s squad will also debut in the series on the very fast up and down hill circuit of the Ardennes, that will host the seventh and eighth rounds of the season, just two weeks after the Red Bull Ring where the 16-year-old Russian Matevos Isaakyan (JD Motorsport) scored a double becoming the youngest ever winner of a Formula Renault 2.0 race.
