Patrese, Barnard make F4 debut
Team AKM Motorsport by Antonelli is set to return to Italian F4 Championship this coming weekend at Mugello, fielding two cars for rookie drivers Lorenzo Patrese and Taylor Barnard.
The Italian racer, who turned 15 last August, is the son of famous Formula One ace Riccardo, who entered 256 Grand Prix races from 1977 to 1993 for Shadow, Arrows, Brabham, Alfa Romeo, Williams and Benetton, claiming six victories.
Lorenzo makes his single-seater debut after completing a couple of test days with Marco Antonelli‘s outfit, following a brilliant karting career with Kart Republic, the team led by talent-scout Dino Chiesa, who was the Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg mentor.
16-year-old British racing driver Barnard – who also raced in the last years under the Kart Republic banner – makes his car debut alongside Patrese.
AKM Motorsport by Antonelli entered last August the first round of the season at the Misano circuit with Chinese Han Chenyu.
