Pal Kiss sets new lap record at Valencia

Tamas Pal Kiss set the new Auto GP lap record for Zele Racing at Valencia. The Hungarian topped the timesheets in the first day of the pre-season official test as he clocked 1:21.480 in the afternoon session, two seconds quicker than the previous by Adrian Quaife-Hobbs in 2012 (1:23.480).

Kimiya Sato (Euronova Racing) finished second ahead of Kevin Giovesi. The Italian showed an impressive pace in the Puma 3 M-Sport‘s car. Belgian Sam Dejonghe and Virtuosi UK went fourth fastest. Andrea Roda was off to a good start too. He ended up in third place during the morning session behind Super Nova International’s Michela Cerruti and Sato. The 2013 championship-winning team’s roster also featured Markus Pommer and Gianmarco Raimondo.

A last-minute entry was Salvatore Deplano, on the MLR71 by Euronova car. Yoshitaka Kuroda will also be running tomorrow, replacing Sato.
