Novalak confirmed for five rounds
Team Carlin confirmed Clement Novalak for five rounds of the 2018 BRDC British Formula 3 Championship season. The 17-year-old British racer makes his debut in the single seater cars, coming from a strong karting background and a recent experience TRS New Zealand Championship.
Returning to the UK, Novalak continued testing with Carlin. This year he will participate in a dual programme, taking in five rounds of the season as he runs alongside a campaign in the Formula Renault 2.0 Championship.
“I’m really proud to be joining such a prestigious team,” Novalak said, “Carlin has brought to light so many racing stars over the years, so I hope to learn as much as I can from them over the next season in BRDC British F3. Over the five rounds, I’m aiming to carry the momentum that I gained from the TRS Championship and do a solid job.”
“We are thrilled to welcome Clement to the team for the upcoming season,” Racing director Trevor Carlin added, “He has shown strong pace while taking part in pre-season testing and was a standout racer in the TRS Championship earlier in the year.
