McKenzie and Ruud win Race 1
Mark McKenzie of Ferrari of Houston dominated the first race of the Ferrari Challenge North America at the Sonoma Raceway. Starting from the pole position, McKenzie held strong throughout the race, scoring the fastest lap and increasing his distance in front of Harry Cheung (Ferrari of Beverly Hills) who finished second. Finishing third overall and in the Trofeo Pirelli class was Mexican Ricardo Perez.
After having won Race 2 at Daytona last January, Chris Ruud claimed his second Coppa Shell victory, ahead of his team mate from Ferrari of Beverly Hills, Jon Becker. The two were closely followed by James Weiland of Ferrari of San Francisco who finished third on today’s podium.
