Mavlanov-Taranov-Zampieri top the Jerez test
Ferrari F458 of Roman Mavlanov, Ivan Taranov and Daniel Zampieri topped the two-day testing of the International GT Open at Jerez. Baporo Motorsport’s car set the fastest time in 1:44.058 on Saturday, while Pro GT by Alméras’ Porsche 911 R of Frenchmen Eric Dermont-Lucas Lesserre-Franck Perera, which topped the rankings on Friday, finished second.
Third fastest was the Black Bull’s Ferrari of Joel Camathias-Mirko Venturi. Rui Aguas and Nasrat Muzayyin put the first AF Corse 458 GT3 car in fourth.
The test saw the come-back of José Miguel Pérez-Aicart (with Baporo), who starred in the early years of the GT Open, and the debut with AF Corse team of young Giorgio Roda, the son of former GT Open runner-up Gianluca. Kessel Racing also attended the test, with three Challenge cars.
