Loggie, Buurman take the pole at Donington
RAM Racing’s Mercedes-AMG of Ian Loggie and Yelmer Buurman claimed the GT3 pole position for the British GT Championship round at Donington, despite the Dutchman’s two fastest laps being scrubbed for track limits infringements. WPI Racing‘s duo Michael Igoe and Phil Keen (Lamborghini) joins them on the front row after falling 0.051s shy of the Mercedes-AMG’s combined time, while the Barwell’s #1 Huracán shared by Adam Balon and Sandy Mitchell – starts third.
Scott Malvern moved Team Parker’s Porsche up to fourth in the final classification after setting the two fastest times of all.
Further back, Matt Topham picked up where he left off at Silverstone by scoring his and Newbridge Motorsport’s first GT4 pole position alongside super sub co-driver Darren Burke.
