Leclerc’s engine proved to be compliant
Formula Renault 2.0 ALPS standings are definitive. After Race 2 in Monza (6 July) to grant the respect of the regulations, the engine of the winner Charles Leclerc (Fortec Motorsports) was sealed and sent to the official Renault Engines supplier Oreca for further inspections.
The accurate inspections did not pointed out any anomalies and thus the Race 2 result has to be considered as final. Same for the general standing where the Dutch Nyck de Vries (Koiranen GP) still leads the group. Leclerc is 70 points behind, while the Russian Matevos Isaakyan (JD Motorsport) chases further eight points behind.
