Lecler, Petecof share pole positions
Prema‘s drivers Arthur Leclerc and Gianluca Petecof shared the pole positions for round 2 of Formula Regional European Championship at the Paul Ricard Circuit, in France. The younger brother of Ferrari Formula 1 driver Charles Leclerc topped the first session with a best lap of 1m58.205. Kic Motorsport‘s Juri Vips finished second by a mere 0.075 seconds. Petecof and Van Amersfoort Racing‘s Pierre-Louise Chovet secured the second row of the starting grid for tomorrow’s Race one.
In the second qualifying Petecof improved further posting 1m57.446. Brazilian racer, who leads the Drivers’ standings alongside Oliver Rasmussen, edged out Leclerc. Monaco-based driver was 0.137 slower. Third and fourth time went respectively to Chovet and Vips. Rasmussen finished both sessions fifth.
