Lamborghini nominates 23 YDP
Lamborghini Squadra Corse has appointed 23 Super Trofeo drivers aged 17-26, for its 2017 Young Drivers Program. Some of them have been reconfirmed, such as Australian Ben Gersekowski, Italian Loris Spinelli, Brazilian Nicolas Costa, Israeli Bar Baruch and Dutch Rik Breukers. Some others – like the reigning World Champion Dennis Lind – have been promoted to the upper level, the GT3 Junior Program.
Many are the newcomers, who are going to become part of the Lamborghini Squadra Corse family. Among them are the Super Trofeo Middle East Champion Axcil Jefferies, the German female racer Carrie Schreiner and her teammates Jack Bartholomew and Richard Goddard. Continuing with Jonathan Cecotto, the 17-year-old son of former F1 driver Johnny Alberto Cecotto, Kikko Galbiati, Mikael Grenier, Jan Kisiel, Christopher Dreyspring and Yuki Nemoto, who showed well recently in the Super Trofeo Europe. Brandon Gdovic and Trent Hindman are instead standing out in the North American series.
