Italian F4 season kicks off with Adria test
Less than four months down the road of the programme definition, Italian F4 made its debut. Sixteen Abarth-powered Tatuus T014 cars run by eighth different teams hit the track at the Adria Raceway for the first official test.
Three cars were run by Adria by Cram with the youngster Robert Shwartzman scoring the best time in the morning, while Mattia Drudi – who has been taking part to the Federal Supercourse a few months ago – and Edi Haxhiu completed the Italian team line up. Two cars have been lined up by Prema Powerteam, one for the Japanese Takashi Kasai and the other for the the Ferrari Driver Academy‘s Canadian Lance Stroll.
Keith Camilleri has been the flag bearer of team Malta Formula Racing managed by the several times champion Danilo Rossi, and he will be replaced tomorrow by American Zackarj Dante.
KF Junior class runner-up Leonardo Pulcini set the quickest lap time of the afternoon session for Euronova Racing, while Ivan Mateev drove an SMP Racing by Euronova car. Italian Andrea Russo (Diegi Motorsport) finished second in both the sessions. Dav Racing made its absolute debut in an Italian series, as the team run by Matteo and Felice Davenia took on track the Brazilian driver Gustavo Bandeira.
Jenzer Motorsport was back to the Italian championship with two cars given to Alain Valente and Nico Rindlisbacker, while team Antonelli Motorsport made its debut in an open wheeled championship with Matteo Desideri and Jonathan Giudice.
