
Isaakyan doubles at the Red Bull Ring
Russian Matevos Isaakyan took a double pole and win at the Red Bull Ring, in Round 5-6 of Formula Renault 2.0 ALPS. On the Austrian track, 16-year-old JD Motorsport dominated Race 2 from light to finish, in front of Italian Alessio Rovera (Cram Motorsport), who managed his first ever podium in the series, after having scored the sixth place on Saturday.
Dutchman Nyck de Vries ended second for Koiranen GP extending his championship lead.
The next Formula Renault 2.0 ALPS venue is scheduled in two weeks, on the 7/8 June weekend, on the fast and charming Belgian Spa-Francorchamps circuit.
