
Home pole for Di Amato
RS Racing Ferrari of Daniele Di Amato claimed a sensational pole position for race one at Monza. On his home track the Italian driver set the best time of 1:46.780s in the first qualifying, beating in the dying moments of the session the Imperiale Racing Lamborginis of Giovanni Venturini and Riccardo Agostini, by 5 and 453 milliseconds respectively.
Damiano Fioravanti finished third in his Ombra Racing Huracán GT3. Row 3 will be for the fastest of the Teo Martín BMWs of Lourenço Beirão, and the top car in Pro-Am, the SPS Automotive Mercedes of Tom Onslow-Cole. Twelve cars finished in the same second.
The debuting Honda NSX GT3 will start from P8 with Bertrand Baguette, while Zdeno Mikulasko (ARC Bratislava Lambo) took the pole of the Am class. Both Daiko Lazarus Racing Lamborghinis are repaired after the accidents of yesterday, with Miguel Ramos declared fit to race.
