
Ho-Pin Tung scores first pole position
Reigning champion Ho-Pin Tung secured the pole position for OAK Racing Team Total in his Morgan-Judd for the first race grid of the second season of the Asian Le Mans Series LMP2 car at the Inje racetrack. Chinese driver set the fastest lap of 1:23.889, just 0.198 ahead of Eurasia Motorsport‘s Oreca-Nissan driven by young Briton Richard Bradley.
In CN Prototype class, Craft-Bamboo Racing claimed the pole position with Hong Kong’s Mathias Beche in the Ligier JS 53 Evo.
Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 of Yu Lam–Takamtsu Matsu–Tsuchiya Takeshi topped the GT class. Team Python’Ferrari crashed earlier in qualifying and could not take the start tomorrow.
