Emilio Di Guida passed away at 50
The International GT Open community was saddened by the news of the sudden passing away, at the age of 50, of Emilio Di Guida, who suffered a heart attack last Saturday while jogging near his home in Florida.
The Venezuelan driver raced in selected GT Open events, with the Autorlando Sport’s Porsche, collecting very good results and fulfilling his dream of racing on Europe’s legendary circuits. Despite his short stay in the International GT Open championship, he quickly made many friends in the paddock, thanks to his positive attitude, his charm and his wit.
Emilio started racing in the 90s, claiming many titles in single-seater, touring car and GT in Venezuela, before becoming a regular contender on the US and international GT and sportscar scene in 2010.
