Drugovich scores 11th victory
RP Motorsport’s Felipe Drugovich scored another victory in the first race at Jerez, which was the 11th of the season for the Brazilian driver who already clinched the Euroformula Open title in the previous round in Monza. Holland’s Bent Viscaal finished second for Teo Martín Motorsport and claimed the Rookie title.
Carlin’s Matheus Iorio returned to the podium in third place. With Viscaal on the top step of the Rookies’ class, Lukas Dunner (Drivex) and Aldo Festante (Teo Martín Motorsport) finished second and third respectively.
Fourth overall place went to Marcos Siebert. The Campos Racing driver produced his best qualifying effort of the season as he led the way. Argentinean clocked a lap time of 1:35.869 by putting all his best sectors together but he was demoted to fourth following a grid penalty applied from race 2 at Monza – where he crashed into Leonardo Lorandi.
