De Vries takes it all at Spa
Nyck de Vries claimed his fifth and sixth wins in the Formula Renault 2.0 ALPS. Koiranen GP driver completed a perfect weekend at Spa, taking the pole position and dominating the two races in front of Matevos Isaakyan (JD Motorsport). The Russian managed to finish twice in second and he is still second overall in the series.
The Monaco driver Charles Leclerc collected two podium finishes for Fortec Motorsports, although his team mate Ben Barnicoat claimed the third place in Race 2. Eventually the Briton paid a two-seconds penalty for not respecting the track limits and was classified fourth.
Behind him finished Raoul Owens, who joined the Formula Renault 2.0 ALPS since the Spa event with Mark Burdett Motorsport team, followed by Dario Capitanio (BVM Racing), George Russell (Koiranen GP), Alessio Rovera (Cram Motorsport), Alex Bosak (Prema) and Akash Nandy (Tech 1 Racing).
The next appointment is in four weeks’ time in Monza (5-6 July), for the fifth round of the season.
