V8 Supercar star Will Davison will race for Erebus Motorsport in 2014. 31-year-old driver from Melbourne, third in 2013, has signed a long-term contract with the Betty Klimenko-owned team.
Will’s signing is the final and highly significant piece for our program with future planning. – Erebus Motorsport CEO Ryan Maddison confirmed – It’s a major coup for us… Will is among the top three drivers in Australia with a tremendous record of success over the past five seasons and we’re delighted in the commitment he’s shown in us for the future, he’ll be a key part of our success as we move forward. With the combined strengths in Will and Lee Holdsworth I am very comfortable with our strategy.
Team owner Betty Klimenko also welcomed Davison’s arrival – Will Davison is already one of the sport’s most successful and professional drivers, and he is the perfect fit for us, in and out of the car. He’s an impressive young man and we all are looking forward to working with him to take on the very best there is in our sport.
Davison has spent the last three years as a Ford factory driver and before that, two years as a Holden factory driver.
