CER: all the 2014 novelties
After seven years of activity, the eighth edition of the Copa de España de Resistencia (CER) is expected to be more exciting, with new categories and cars and slight changes in regulations, without losing its spirit.
2014 calendar consists of 5 rounds to be held on the main circuits of Spain: Barcelona, Alcañiz, Valencia, Jerez and Jarama. Each of them will be held on Saturday and Sunday and includes two private practice sessions of 50 minutes, timed practice sessions and two 50-minutes races, except in Barcelona which will have a two hour race plus one lap.
All kinds of Touring cars are allowed, with GT4 novelty, divided into 6 different Divisions based on their performance. The Championship is also divided in three separate classes: Class (Divisions 1, 2, 3), Class 2 (Division 4), Class 3 (Division 5, 6).
Together with the CER Championship will be also held the Seat León Supercopa, reserved for the Seat Leon Supercopa MK2 (2006-2013) with an own Division in Class 1 (D3), and the Challenge Clio Cup Endurance reserved to Renault Clio Cup cars (2006 until 2012 models) and technical specifications of the Cup.
Michelin will be the new tyre supplier.
