Caroline scores second win

Jamie Caroline secured a second F4 British Championship victory at Donington. The 18-year-old Carlin driver started from sixth on the grid taking the lead in the opening lap to claim his fourth win of this season.

The British racer was joined on the podium by team mate Patrik Pasma who took a brilliant third position. Fortec’s Oliver York finished second.

I got a really great start and was able to push hard going in to the first corner, taking two cars around the outside. I then had momentum from there taking two further positions in one corner before I came up against Patrik Pasma. We had a bit of a drag race and I was able to cut back and take the lead of the race. From there on it was really a case of maintaining the lead and pushing only when I needed to – at one point Oliver York got a little close so I had to push somewhat but held on well and was able to relax a little. I’ve had a great weekend so far with the two wins however my approach tomorrow is to be safe and keep getting those valuable points. I’ve got a fantastic gap over my rivals in the championship fight with the two victories this weekend so I’d like to carry that momentum.” – Caroline said.
