Carlin returns to British F4
Carlin has confirmed that the team will be returning to the F4 British Championship for the 2019 season, following a year-long sabbatical from the series. After claiming the title in 2015, 2016 and 2017, the team look forward to re-joining the competitive field and hitting the ground running for the upcoming 2019 season.
In 2015, the inaugural year of the then-named MSA Formula, Lando Norris took the crown before Max Fewtrell and Jamie Caroline continued that race-winning success in the following seasons. Over the three years in which the team competed in the championship they notched up an impressive tally of 37 wins attributed to eight different drivers.
Proving its standing within the motorsport ladder, Norris has since gone on to win multiple further championships and prepares himself for his debut season in Formula One next year while Fewtrell and Caroline are current nominees for the McLaren Autosport BRDC Award.
“We are thrilled to be heading back to the British F4 paddock for the 2019 season”, said Trevor Carlin, “The Championship holds many happy memories for us – we won the inaugural season with Lando Norris who three years’ later is on his way to Formula 1 so we know that the championship is the perfect platform for young and talented drivers looking to launch their career in the best possible way. We loved being in the paddock, as part of the TOCA package, and the racing was always exciting to watch, so we look forward to being part of this again and hope to be able to announce drivers shortly.”
