Biagi set for the Spa challenge

“Spa is one of my favorite circuits, one of the most beautiful in the world. A circuit that still retained its charm without restyling altering its layout due to new safety dictates.” Reigning International GT Open champion Thomas Biagi is ready for the this coming weekend challenge at Spa-Francorchamps.

Biagi, his team mate Giovanni Venturini and the #1 Lamborghini Huracán GT3 of the Imperiale Racing team, after an excellent second place at Estoril, will have to face a challenging race, struggling, as well as with opponents, with the Balance of Performance that could penalize the Sant’Agata Bolognese’s Supercar in terms of absolute power.

I’m confident to do well, although optimism blends with the realism of having to drive with the 38mm flange to aspiration that, above all in qualification, on long straight lines, will penalize us not a bit. We will be more consistent in the race. Strong second in the Estoril we will find ourselves with a handicap time of 10 seconds that will challenge race one, so we aim to race two.” – added Biagi.

In the current standings the Biagi-Venturini crew takes the third place, two points from McLaren’s Rob Bell and Shaun Balfe and five from the leading pair Dominik and Mario Farnbacher in the Lexus RC-F GT3.
