Bastian/Niederhauser lead Mercedes 1-2

Patric Niederhauser claimed his third win of the season in the Blancpain GT Series Asia, pairing with Nico Bastian. The GruppeM Racing duo came through from eighth on the grid to lead home a Mercedes-AMG one-two in the second race at Fuji, finishing 0.010s ahead of their team mates Raffaele Marciello and Alexander Mattschull.

With this victory Niederhauser replaced Dennis Lind and Martin Kodric at the top of the Drivers’ standings. Marco Mapelli and Hiroshi Hamaguchi completed the podium order in the FFF Racing Team by ACM Lamborghini Huracán GT3.

The KCMG Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3s finished fourth and fifth respectively with the race one winners Alexandre Imperatori/Yuke Taniguchi and Edoardo Liberati/Florian Strauss.

BMW Team Studie’s Sunako Jukuchou and Takayuki Kinoshita completed a perfect weekend by adding their second GT4 victory to two pole positions and fastest times in all three practice sessions.
