Anglo-Swiss Hirsinger takes the pole
In the first qualifying session for the first round of the French F4 Championship on the Bugatti circuit at Le Mans, Anglo-Swiss driver Felix Hirsiger clinched his first pole in the category from Australian Joseph Mawson and Dane Lasse Sorensen.
The French duo Amaury Richard and Bryan Elpitiya set the fourth and the fifth time respectively. The latter, who had been among the frontrunners in the winter tests, bagged fifth at the very end of qualifying, while Mexican Axel Matus went off bringing out the yellow flags in the second sector, which prevented many from improving their lap times.
Vladimir Atoev, Reuben Kressner, Valentin Moineault, Simo Laaksonen and Dorian Boccolacci rounded out the top 10.
Anouk Abadie, the only woman driver in this championship, continued to learn and will start from 22nd.
