New challenge for Rossel in Super Trofeo Europe

Recent announcement of Kevin Rossel signment with team Target Racing, has highlighted the Danish, who in this year will race for the team led by Roberto Venieri, that claimed Lamborghini Super Trofeo Middle East title and of the World Final in Jerez with the other Danish Frederik Schandorff. An all Danish bet after the recent confirmation of 17-year-old Noah Watt, who also makes his debut in the Sant’Agata Bolognese one-make series.

Rossel, at the age of 24, already boasts in his curriculum a national Super GT title, following a brilliant period in karts and his debut in the European GT4.

At the dawn of this new era, we asked to tell us what we can expect from this season.

What is your first memory in your racing life?

“My last season in kart (2014), I was racing in a World Championship final where I managed to recover from the back of the grid up to 6th. Of course I would like to have won, but for me this memory is worth as much as a victory”.

How big has been the step from last year’s car to the Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo Evo?

“It’s a great step form me, like the one that I’ve made to kart to racing cars. One substantial difference relates to power and car weight. I was used to manage 350 hp, but Lambo has 620 hp nearly twice as much as my previous car. I did two tests with the Huracán and first of all I had  to get used to driving with ABS and traction control, lap after lap I was more confident with the car”.

Why did you sign with Target Racing?

“I owe this choice due to Alberto Tonti (Fly Racing Consulting) support, who directed me towards this team which is a point of reference in this championship. With them I hope to aim for the victory”.

Thoughts on Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe?

“It’s a really good championship. It’s also a great chance for a driver like me that want to be a professional one in GT competitions. This year I’ll have a lot visibility and I’ll do my best to be on the winner’s table”.

Did you have a Formula 1 idol as a child?

“Fernando Alonso has always been my idol”.

How do you spend your free time?

“I love cars, and with my company I sell special models like Ferrari, Porsche Lamborghini. I don’t have a lot spare time, but when I’m free I like to spend time with my family and with my girlfriend”.

What is your favourite track?

“I love Spa-Francorchamps!”

One wish, what would it be?

“It will not be easy but I aim at the title…”
